Welcome!!!
Hello and welcome to my site. A personal page for me to blog about my experiences, spur of the moment thoughts, feelings, travel, and etc. I hope you have fun reading my entries as much as I enjoyed writing them. Please feel free to leave your comments and messages.

I love onion rings! I prefer them along side with a burger rather than the traditional French fries. But not all restaurants serve yummy onion rings. I like them really crispy and spicy as the same time. Plus, the whole dish depends highly on how you make the batter.

Suggestion: Onion rings are best when dipped in sour cream or ketchup.

Have a Happy Sunday :)

My cousin's husband from Cagayan De Oro bought a brand new laptop from SM Megamall three weeks ago. The laptop was on sale during the time so he got in a really good price. I was so amazed of the deal so I wanted to buy one like it as well. My mom has been thinking of getting another laptop for her since my sister took her Lenovo. Mom just knows how to Google things through the internet, but other than that the computer's pretty useless for her already. LOL!

I in the other hand had been dreaming of getting a laptop of my own for the longest time. Since I just passed my NCLEX-RN exam, I told her that getting my own computer would be a great reward. I've been dreaming to have a Macbook PRO ever since my cousin lent me his several months ago. By the time I was suppose to give it back to him, I tried very hard to let go because I got really attached to it.

Well, I still didn't get a Macbook PRO, if that's what you're thinking... Instead, my parents decided to get me a Compaq Presario laptop from SM Megamall too. Unfortunately, it wasn't on sale anymore so we had to shell out more cash as to compared to my cousin-in-law. I didn't know anything about the specs and features when it comes to buying a computer, so I let my dad handle it.

So, right then and there... I went home with my very own brand new laptop. This still won't shut my dreams up of having a Macbook PRO in the future. I guess I'll settle for this one for the mean time. Don't get me wrong, I love it with all my heart, but it just look too manly for my taste. Although, I'm sure I could work something out to make it look more girly for me. Anyways, bottom line is... I'm really very very happy. Now let me break this in!!!

My parents and I went to SM Megamall yesterday. Last time I was in that mall, I was just in high school. Almost 10 years had passed and a lot of things had changed and improve in that place. We don't usually visit the cities up North because we didn't want to deal with traffic. But we were on a search for something yesterday, so we went out of our way and visited Pasig as well since my mom wanted to try out Charlie's Handcrafted Burgers in Capitol Village.

It's really just a small fast food restaurant that had an old all American diner feel. It's located just along the main road, beside a car wash. Since the establishment just inside a village, you'll notice that a lot of theis customers would be just coming from within the neighborhood. I felt like everyone knew each other last night. It was cozy and homy all at the same time.

There were a lot of people last night. We even had to wait for a table to sit. We tried the black angus beef burger, the Pontabelo mushroom burger, and some buffalo wings. I loved the veggie burger way better. It had a cruchy patty on the outside, and a thick serving of soft, black Pontabelo mushrooms in the inside. They were really good! My mom said that the owner of that place is also the owner of another restaurant named Cyma. If you remember, I wrote about Cyma as well last month. :) So far, I loved everything that man makes. I can't wat what he has instore for the future... ;)

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Inventory Source. All opinions are 100% mine.

A lot of people now are fonder of shopping online rather than going out of their way just to canvas an item in a mall. Here in the Philippines, a lot of sellers have tapped the social networking websites as well. It's kind of irritating at times because they flood my wall by tagging me with pictures of the products their selling.

I've always wanted to start my own online shop that focuses more on women's clothes. I've actually done my research regarding the matter since last December 2009. I have found some interesting items but it's not quite enough for a whole collection yet. Unfortunately, I still need to expand my connections in relation to product sourcing. And because I have to start reviewing for another exam this March, I'll be running a really tight schedule again. Due to this, I wouldn't have time to update and check my website regularly.

Thankfully, I learned about Inventory Source, the most trusted and longstanding company since 2002 that offers drop in services. They allow distributors to sell directly to customers through Drop Ship Suppliers. Imagine, the wholesale suppliers doing all the shipping for you, while still making profit out of the product mark ups at the same time. Be updated through the automation of inventory management process and supplier integration. This way, you'll have more time to promote your online store. Inventory Source's alliance with other well known marketplaces in the web like Amazon, eBay, and Price Grabber can very well help in this certain area too. And I say, grab any chance to improve your marketing strategy in order to attract more customers. If you want to know more about what I'm talking about, feel free to visit their website today. Create your free account and see the offers they have for the modern and practical entrepreneurs. You can now say goodbye to all the hassles this kind of business may bring. No more going crazy over inventories, finding reliable suppliers, and accidental selling of out of hand stock.

I'm Sick...

I've been feeling bad since last week, but I tried very hard not to give in to whatever I was feeling. It wasn't just til Monday when I suddenly felt that I couldn't stop it from happening anymore. It's been three days, and I still have the flu. Now, due to my dry cough, my throat is awfully painful too. I'm afraid that it may lead to tonsilitis. I hate having tonsilitis because I can't eat what I want. Plus, tonsilitis is always accompanied by fever and chills... I wish I feel better soon, so that I could go on to my new adventures :D

It's been a while since I last wrote an entry for Yummy Sunday. I always seem to forget to take a picture of a dish I like. A good example is this one. If you look at the picture closely, you'll notice that I just scattered the left overs on the plate since a big portion of the salad already went down to my stomach. LOL!

Anyways, since it's Valentine's day, I would like to feature this chicken salad from Mile High Diner, Tagaytay. It's really good! I loved the the dressing because it felt really light. Plus, the chicken was cooked softly. Everything on the menu there seemed quite pricey for me. So, you'll have to think twice in going there if you're under a tight budget. But I assure you that everything they serve has a generous amount of serving. This plate for example was good for two people already... And aside from good food, you could actually have the American dining experience in Mile High because the whole place was fully decorated that way. Most of the peices on their walls was a picture of Marilyn Manroe and Elvis Presley.

There located just beside the main road of Tagaytay along with different other restaurants which looked so fun and romantic. The whole site is inviting because of the fascinating lights that blended along with the view of the city just below the mountain each night.

Have a HAPPY YUMMY SUNDAY EVERYONE!

I'm not Chinese but I still want to welcome the year of the Tiger! Filipinos are greatly influenced by the Chinese. This is why we also practice some of their beliefs. So I believe that this year would bring me luck since I was born in 1986 which was also the year of the tiger.

The first thing that pops right in our minds whenever we hear that the person is born in the year of the tiger is that he or she might be "stubborn"... Well, that's the negative trait of the animal. Because of this we overlook the fact that tigers are brave and intelligent at the same time for they premeditate on each move... :P ROAR!!!

I didn't know that Dear John, a novel by Nicholas Sparks had existed until I saw the trailer of the upcoming movie last week. I wanted so much to watch it right after I've seen the teaser. But then, I figured I should read the book first. For some reason, I love reading now. Weird?? Because back when I was a kid, I never felt any enthusiast whenever I had to open one of my textbooks. I was a student who relied more on what the professors would discuss because, I absorbed everything better that way.

So, I started reading the book the other night and just finished it yesterday. Part I of the book was really dragging. It dwelt more on the romance between John Tyree and Savannah Ann Curtis. I'm usually not entertained with those kind of things... Which is another weird thing, because I'm a girl. :P But anyways, as I've reached reading Part II of the book, I couldn't let go of it anymore. I felt I had to read it all the way now since everything became interesting. I cried a lot when John found his dad with Asperger's syndrome in a severely weakened state, literally hanging on to his dear life alone in his house when he got back from Germany. I could imagine myself feeling very helpless if I was in his situation. Knowing that your only family is very ill, and you can't be there to take care of him yourself since you're very far away.

As for the outcome of John and Savannah's love story... I was a bit annoyed with the fact that John had been a martyr all through out the relationship. I wish an emotion as strong like that amongst men could really exist in reality. John gave up everything he had to make Savannah happy. Which I think she didn't deserve. But I guess, true love really does that to you. You set yourself aside to make the one you love happy. For some reason, there's this feeling of satisfaction in your side whenever you realize that he or she is smiling because of you...

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years, any separation from you will be painful for me. Remember that before you buy me.

2. Give me time to understand what you want from me; don't be impatient, short-tempered, or irritable.

3. Place your trust in me and I will always trust you back. Respect is earned not given as an inalienable right.

4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment, I am not capable of understanding why? I only know I have been rejected, you have your work entertainment and friends I only have you.

5. Talk to me sometimes, even if I don't understand your words I understand your voice and your tone, "you only have to look at my tail".

6. Be aware that however you treat me I'll never forget it, and if it's cruel it may affect me forever.

7. Please don't hit me I can't hit back, but I can bite and scratch and I really don't ever want to do that.

8. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right foods or I've been out in the sun too long, or my heart is getting old and weak, I may be just dog tired.

9. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old and may also need love, care, comfort, and attention.

10. Go with me on difficult journeys, never say, "I can't bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence". Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, irrespective of what you do I will always love you.

Are you tired of always carrying thick dictionaries whenever you have to write a speech, a letter, a presentation, or a review? Well worry no more! For there are now affordable services that could help you translate documents into any major language you desire that doesn’t require minimum words and charges.

Your primary language will always be the best tool you could use whenever you want to clearly express yourself. With this, you are never lost of words and ideas. I for example am a Filipino who loves blogging. But since I want to be able to share my views and opinions to everyone else, I have to write my entries in English because it’s widely spoken all over the world. As an Asian, English is just my second language. This is why I have to exert more effort in making myself sound natural in regards with this area.

But now, translation is made easy for I have discovered Transia. It’s an online community where translators can assist you with the translation services you need. This time, I wouldn’t be as much hesitant to publish my work instantly like before because I could be sure that well trained linguistic professionals went around my document as well. Please feel free to check their site and sign up for free to see what they have in store for you.

Buying Vintage

One of my closest freinds has been encouraging me to shop in vintage stores lately. Vintage store meaning, a shop that sells pre-loved items. Back here in the Philippines we call it Ukay-ukay. I'm really not a fan of shopping for used items. But because I'm forced to be practical right now, I dove in to the idea and went to three Ukay shops earlier. They were selling a lot of products. Clothes, bags, and shoes. There were some things that wiil potentially look good in me. Plus, everything I had laid my eyes on was in perfect condition. I just didn't end up buying anything since I think it was really expensive. It totally discouraged me from purchasing because the sellers were actually charging the customers with prices that ranged from 155 Php to 800 Php. With those prices, you could actually buy something new and trendy in bazares already. That's why I stopped the search and quiclkly ran to the nearest bazares here in our area.

I guess preloved clothes are being overpriced lately because there's a dramatic increase with the demand for it. It just doesn't seem fair to me. If you couldn't afford to buy used "anyhthing", then what can you affor dto buy now a days??

This is a post in continuation of "May Bukas Pa" Finale. This is a photo spreading all around in the internet a long time ago. A photo of Santino and the guy acting as Bro. :D

"May Bukas Pa", a very popular teleserye here in the Philippines had aired their last episode earlier. For those who has no idea of what I'm talking about, maybe the name Santino would ring a bell. This teleserye is one of my favorites. I loved the concept. It's not your regular drama series every night. It imparted good moral lessons. And the story of a miracle boy having the ability talk to Jesus (Bro) is very interesting.

I was kinda dispappointed with the ending though. It was pretty predictable, but then even at the last minute, I didn't lose hope to the show's writers. I was desperately wishing that Santino would really die in the end. It would've been more dramatical for me. That'll be a real tear-jerker. ;P

But anyways, I guess majority of the show's audience wouldn't accept my suggested alternate ending. Filipinos who enjoy mainstream entertainment is still stuck with the idea that protagonists are meant to portray someone whose a victim that'll slowly rise up from the ground and win.

Either way, I will miss Santino and Bro.
