I'm having a great summer. Being in a vacation like a student feels so good. It sure beats the feeling of having to work for long hours in a hospital. Now the problem is, before I resigned from my previous job, I was really skinny. Now that there's nothing to do, I'd rather look for something to eat or I'd sleep all day. That's why I'm gaining a lot of weight fast. Who in the word wouldn't want to live like this right? Unfortunately, you can't pull it off forever. Even the richest man in the world, still works from time to time. :) I easily got used into waking up very late in the afternoon and basically look forward into not doing anything at ll during the whole day. I hope I get back on track soon. lol

Emergency Room

It's very hard to work in a hospital. You have to deal with sick, easily irritated, and sometimes depressed people all the time. I was exposed in the ward very much. It was a lot of work since I was always assigned from 6 to 9 patients per shift. It's fun and fulfilling if you got he hang of it. But, the experience in the emergency room is much more different than any other areas in the hospital. It's exciting and scary at the same time because you get to encounter different types of medical cases first hand in the ER. The dirty work is always done there. You can't transfer a patient to the ward if he or she isn't somehow stabled. Everybody moves very fast and procedures are done there quickly. If ever I'd be working in the hospital again, I want to be assigned in the Emergency room already. There'sa difeerent tyoe and level of training there.

Poker Player

Playing poker is really very entertaining. Especially if you played it with close friends. So that the "gambling" part wouldn't get that serious. Me and my friends played a lot of card games back in college, with a smaller wager of course, to get a bit excited at least. I didn't keep playing though, the occasional gambling was enough for me.

A devastating accident occurred last May 23, 2009 off the coast of Batangas. One if the ships of MB Commando apparently sank in the middle of the sea while on it's way to Puerto Galera. 12 passengers were declared dead and a large number of the total survivors were injured. Investigators are still on the case. Some people are saying that the accident happened bacausse of overloading. The booat was said to only hold a maximum of 40 people, but on that day, MB Commandos accommodated 58 passengers. We can't conclude on that statement yet because it's still under investigation. This tragedy is very upsetting. I am deeply sorry for those families who have lost heir loved ones due to this accident.

I have been to Puerto Galera twice and I rode MB Commandos ship line each time. They do let a lot of passengers ride their boats especally during summer (Puerto Galera's peak season). I didn't think that they have enoough life vests for everyone if ever something bad happens. But I was with a lot of friends at the time so they helped a lot in taking my mind off of it. It's very alarming that something like this had to happen. A lot of tourist (especially foreigners) venture off to Puerto Galera.

Survivors from the accident are left wondering on how it happened because they were experiencing calm waters and fair weather at the time. I do hope that justice would be served for the victims of this horrific accident. At least let the families who got left behind could have an explination as to what had happened.

My cousin works for a crews line, that's why is always traveling. He came home last February and he'll be leaving again next week. He grew up n the province but we got pretty close along he years. Anyways, he bought an Apple Macbook Pro from Germany because he was so thrilled that it was a lot cheaper there. He's not mac-savy, in fact he's not "techie" at all. He just likes buying up-to-date gadgets because he could easily afford it, and so that he could give them away to his family back n the province.

He had no idea what to do with his Mac since it's language was progammed in Deutch. Plus, he had no idea on how to install the OS and everything else... So, he lent me the laptop for 2 weeks so that I could fix it (I think I have a fair share of knowledge on things like this). I've always wanted my own mac but I didn't dwell too much on that thought since I know I couldn't afford it yet and I'm already using a lenovo right now. I've alwys slept late in the evening ever since I've had it because I got so caught up in exploring and maximizing every feature I could tap. It was so user-friendly, simple, and easy to use. I loved it so much!!! Because of this, I got attached to it really fast... :( And finally when I had to give it back to my cousin, it became really hard to let go... :( I got saddened somehow because of this. hmmmp! But everything's all good though. :)) At least now I know that there's no othe brand of laptop for me. :D

Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Ooooh, ooooh
If we make each other happy, then we just can't lose

I don't mean to be decadent
I might sound like a hedonist
But the simplest way I can put it
You become a habit
The more I consume, the more I gotta have it

Ain't no such thing as too much
If you gave me everything it'd never be enough yeah
My black coffee with sugar no cream in the morning
You're my super double caffeine dream yeah

Your precious darkness got me so strung out
Aand lovin' the way that you got me so wide open, my babydoll
Jonesin' and fienin' under my skin
My nerves are screamin' when you're not here
See baby I need ya sugar, you're so delicious

There is somethin' about your love
That makes me just want to open up
Your flavor is the sweetest thing in life
I'm addicted to your chocolate high
Cause I want you, and I know that you want me
So let's stay close like we supposed to be
And just get high off our own supply
I'm addicted to your chocolate high

I be trippin' in so many ways if I
Go a single day without a taste of your love
The finest cuisine of today's world
Five stars, oh you're so gourmet girl

I crave you, I want you
Every cell in my body needs you
Tasty like hershey's and nestle
You're rich like godiva boy you just so sexy

There is somethin' about your love
That makes me just want to open up
Your flavor is the sweetest thing in life
I'm addicted to your chocolate high
Cause I want you, and I know that you want me
So let's stay close like we supposed to be
And just get high off our own supply
I'm addicted to your chocolate high

Your flavor is the sweetest thing in life
And I don't ever want to come down
I'm addicted to your chocolate high
Oh yeah

There is somethin' about your love
That makes me just want to open up
Your flavor is the sweetest thing in life
I'm addicted to your chocolate high
Cause I want you, and I know that you want me
So let's stay close like we supposed to be
And just get high off our own supply
I'm addicted to your chocolate high

There is somethin' about your love

I liked the movie Slumdog Millionaire. I love the soundtrack too. Especially, the Pussycat Dolls' version of Jai Ho. Enjoy this video everyone... :)

I got really upset the other morning because I woke up discovering that my dog's paw was bleeding continuously. This happened because my mom tried to trim the dog's nails by herself. She trimmed it so short that she caught the dog's skin by mistake. I told her a lot of times not to bother herself with it anymore since she did the same thing to our dog the last time as well. It's been a long time since I took our dog to the grooming salon so, his nails were really very long to the extent that we would get hurt whenever he wanted to play with us. I have to get his nails done by a professional groomer because he's very jumpy when it comes to this "beautification" process since he doesn't like to get his nails trimmed at all. He gets really angry whenever somebody tries to cut it. I guess my mom couldn't resist herself anymore since the dog's nails were really getting very sharp and long so she forced to make it happen. She told me that when she was almost done, and had to cut just one nail left, the dog made a sudden move. Resulting for the incident to happen. I treat my dog like my little baby that's why I got really worried and upset so when I saw him bleeding profusely in one room. I picked him up right away, calming him by softly speaking. I took him to the nearest sink and there I washed his paw with running water from the faucet. He didn't want anybody touching the wound so it was really hard for me to clean his paw with antiseptic solutions. I held him on my lap for a long time, to I could apply pressure on his wound, so that it would stop bleeding. He became calmed then. After that, he just crawled down to his favorite spot under my bed and licked his paw. Thankfully, he seemed a lot better in the evening of that day.

A simple reminder to all the pet owners out there, be really careful when trimming your pet's nails. :)

I was a follower of the show American Idol before. Especially during season three. I was lucky enough to wake up early this morning (since I don't usually do that anymore). Because of this, I was able to watch the Finale of the latest season live... The reality show was shown live via satellite in the Philippines at probably 8 o'clock in the morning. American Idol is pretty big in this country too that's why we have our own version of it. I wasn't able to watch most of the episodes in this season. But basing from the very few episodes I've watched, I had my BET on Adam all the way... That's why, I got really disappointed when they announced that Kris was the winner. I'm not saying that Kris didn't deserve it (because they both do)... I just feel that Adam was way better... He had presence, originality, amazing vocals, and consistency.

During the season finale, Kris and Adam had a duet. They sang "We Are The Champions" by Queen. I barely heard Kris' voice during the whole song. There is no doubt that Adam took over the stage and made sure he stood out. It felt like Kris' was only singing back up. Aside from the performances in the season finale, Adam remained consistently strong during the whole competition.

People don't appreciate real talent anymore... It's high time to become open to diversities. Let's not turn shows like this into a popularity contest. Despite of the outcome, I am so sure that Adam will go further in the music industry in terms of success compared to Kris. Peace :)

I worked in a hospital before where I got exposed to a lot of different diseases. It's hard to afford getting sick now a days so I make sure that I protect myself all the time. I had a patient in the pediatric ward. He was just 7, and he was in because of chicken pox. Unfortunately, I was assigned to take care of that patient... I never had chickenpox before so I protested it to my supervisor. My supervisor just ignored me so I had no choice but to carry out my duties that day.

A few days after, I was getting confident that I might have not caught the virus since I was doing just fine... But then, on the exact 10th day of my exposure to the disease, fluid-filled blisters had erupted on my torso. I was in denial at first so I went to see one of our medical consultants just to confirm what it really was. After the doctor saw the blisters, he told me that I have chicken pox. He advised that I take at least two weeks off from work since I was highly contagious during that stage. I was really pissed right then and there because I was 22 years old at the time and I was worried of how I'd look like after I get well.

So afraid that I would have a lot of scars after getting sick, I tried everything I could to prevent it. I took supplements, and antiviral medications. I bought antiviral and anti-scar creams as well. They were really expensive so I was positive about the results.

Five months have passed after I got sick and I'm still dealing with a lot of scars right now. I got hit pretty hard. I have marks all over my body, especially on my back. :( I went to my dermatologist to get it fixed and I'm applying the creams that she had prescribed me. I still feel as if there's no effect. :(

I'm really frustrated about this because I pay a lot of attention to my skin ever since I was young. I always took care of myself because how I look was important to me...

Me and my boyfriend have always been in love with animals. We're actually taking care of three dogs right now. They're pretty spoiled and we treat them as if they were our own children.

Because of this, it's no surprise that we both were excited about the novel entitled Marley and Me being captured in film. We weren't able to watch it in the actual cinema since we were both really busy with our jobs during the time it was released. So what we did was, we just bought a dvd copy of the movie and decided to watch it together last night.

We haven't read the book so we had no idea of what to expect. I just thought it was a comedy starring a dog and a family based on a real story. We had a good laugh from the beginning of the movie because we could totally relate to what the characters were going through. Then, on the latter part of the flick, when Marley (the retriever) was already feeling too sick and would not get better, both of us became really quiet. I got really sad and touched when the dog was dying. I couldn't control the tears that was continuously falling from my eyes. I hid my face under the pillow because I didn't want my boyfriend to see me crying over a movie. lol. After holding myself together, I leaned over my boyfriend and turned to see his face. I was so shock to find out that he was also crying too(even more than I did). I found it so cute that he was touched and moved by the movie as well. :D A few minutes after the film ended, the silence vanished and we both joked around about the major water works that just happened. We enjoyed watching the movie very much. Truly, one of the nicest bonding time with my boyfriend. I call it "Our Marley and Me Experience". ;D *winks*

I visited my relatives in the province over the weekend. Usually when I go there, I just meet them in one of our aunt's house within the town proper so that we have bigger space and it's more accessible to everybody. But then, I had to go my cousin's house to see his new baby since I failed to attend the christening that was held weeks ago. My cousin lived beside the farm that my grandfather had developed when he was still on earth. I wasn't looking forward to it at first since I know it's going to be hot and muddy along the way since you can't drive a car to get there because there's no road yet.

It was my first time to have seen my cousin's house. And to my surprise, it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. He built the house on top of the hill. He had a very big lot since it was a farm so he also built a big nipa hut beside this really huge and old manggo tree. It was a beautiful sight. Everything we ate during our stay there were freshly picked from the trees. I brought a kilo of fresh fish and pork from the town market and we just grilled it.

It was really sunny at the time but the whole place was still muddy due to continuous rains from the past few days. Because of that my cousin fetched his carabao and placed a sled on it's back. Me and some of my cousins rode it going there and back. It was very fun eventhough the whole ride was a lot bumpy. It's a shame that I didn't had a camera with me. I would've captured that moment perfectly. I bet I'll come back anyways so it's okay.

During my whole stay, I can't help but imagine, that most of the people led a life like that before. They lived in small spacey houses without electricity, and water coming from the faucet. No refrigerators, microwaves, showers, and proper toilets. :) It was very simple and easy back then... I'm glad I got a taste of it somehow. :D
